Introduction battery cell

The future of mobility is battery-electric. The future of energy supply depends crucially on stationary storage systems. Lithium-ion technology is also used in many other areas of life. Knowledge of battery technology is therefore not only necessary in technical professions, but also beneficial in other sectors - from insurance to waste management.

Learn the basics of battery technology in our introductory module for beginners and advanced learners.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of cell voltage, energy density and the components of a battery such as anodes, cathodes and electrolytes. This course will give you an insight into how batteries work, from their building blocks to their state of charge. Broaden your understanding of one of the key technologies of our time and prepare yourself for an exciting journey into the world of battery technology. Register now and lay the foundations for your knowledge in this pioneering field!

After your participation...

... you will understand how a battery works.

... know the components of a battery and how they are manufactured.

... know the most important properties of a cell in the application.

TRAINERS

Jochen Settelein, Fraunhofer ISC

Jochen Settelein leads the "Battery Testing and Analytics" group at the R&D Center for Electromobility Bavaria FZEB, at the Fraunhofer ISC in Würzburg. The department offers electrical testing of battery cells and battery modules for companies and research institutes. The environmental conditions can be varied and the change in the state of the battery cells can be examined using a wide range of sensors (temperature, pressure, expansion, ultrasound). The batteries can be opened after the test and examined using different material analysis methods. Mr. Settelein can look back on over 10 years of experience in the field of material development for batteries.
