Experience cell manufacturing process

Open-heart surgery: Battery production is a complex process that involves many steps, which vary depending on the type of battery being made. However, the main steps involved in battery production include electrode production, assembly, and finalization. In this course, you will learn about the different processes involved in battery production and gain a better understanding of how these steps work together. By dissecting battery cells and studying the key process steps, you will gain a tangible understanding of how batteries are made.

Discover the world of battery cell production in our specialised training module.

Immerse yourself in the fascinating process steps of electrode production, assembly and finalisation of battery cells. Learn hands-on methods to experience how these steps are carried out in reality and what influence they have on the overall performance of the batteries. Experience the world of precise process control and learn about important manufacturing techniques to produce high-quality battery cells. Secure your place now and take part in this innovative training module to deepen your expertise in battery cell production.

After participating...

...you will understand the individual process steps in battery cell production.

...know the type and tasks of the systems in each individual process step.

...know the requirements for the process steps in battery cell production.

TRAINERS

Jan-Paul Brinkmann

My name is Jan-Paul Brinkmann, and I am a research associate at Fraunhofer FFB. I am currently working on the finalization of battery cells, using my many years of experience and my doctorate to contribute in a meaningful way to the field of lithium-ion batteries and their production. I collaborate closely with the process engineering team to develop new and innovative solutions for the production of sustainable energy storage systems.

Raoul Höller

My name is Raoul Höller and I work as a research assistant in the "Process Engineering" group. My focus is on electrode production processes, including electrode coating, drying, calendering, and vacuum drying. I am particularly interested in the use of innovative drying processes and the integration of new technologies. In my work, I consider both the theoretical background and the practical application of these processes, as well as the implementation of tests.
